The Parenting Pit came up with this great method for deciding how many kids to have.
As for me – - I don’t need a method for deciding because we never made a decision about kids. They just sort of….. happen. Not sure how, exactly.
I found this at Leaping From the Box…
The first three people to leave a comment here will receive a home made gift from me sometime in the next 365 days. In return, leave a post on your blog and give 3 homemade gifts, as a pay if forward! The homemade gift I will give will likely be something knitted.
Fun, Fun, Fun!!

I just stumbled across this idea over at Write From Karen. What a cute idea. It is Buy A Friend a Book week! The giving of a book, just for the sake of giving a book. Books are such a big part of my life, and I giving warms my heart. The joy that comes from giving just for the sake of giving is a joy that warms from the inside out.
BAFAB happens quarterly – and the next one NOW! – The first week of January. Would you like a book? Leave a comment – and I’ll draw from a hat. In your comment, please tell me the “type” of book you enjoy. (The drawing and shipping will be delayed – as I am “unavailable” in January. I will ship out in February.)
You do need to feel emailing me your shipping address. It will not be used for any other purpose!
I am not a creative person, nor do I play one on TV. I steal ideas from books, magazines, and blogs. The extent of my creativity is reading a book and imagining the scene.
When I woke up this morning, I found an email – an invitation to participate in the Carnival of Homeschool Graphic contest.
What? Cough. Cough. You want ME to create a graphic? Cough. Cough. I have always loved the idea of creating a graphic using the computer… but (cough, cough) have no idea how to even start! Anyway – I was inspired to give it a wirl.
So here you have it…. 2 concepts created in Digital Image Pro.
Meanwhile, do you have some creative juices? Join the contest!
I’m a few days late – but here is another addition of the Carnival of Homeschooling over at
And – for more news on the carnival, Why Homeschool (the founders) are seeking submissions for a Carnival of Homeschooling graphic. Check it out here. I am happy to hear they are moving forward with a graphic – as it sure makes it easier to include a link in our sidebars and participate in the carnival!
